Description: 
AmeriStaff is seeking a hardworking individual with experience in furniture assembly, or construction to join a team of dedicated persons working to make a difference in the lives of families.
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and packaging bed components and related products in a manufacturing environment. This role involves working with wood, plastic, and metal components, following assembly instructions, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring finished products meet company standards for safety and craftsmanship.

Pay: $31,200 - $37,440 annually, depending on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble component parts used in the production of beds and related furniture products.
  • Assemble and package items including headboards, safety rails, frames, support components, and hardware kits.
  • Read and follow work orders, assembly instructions, and daily production schedules.
  • Inspect wood, plastic, and metal components for defects, damage, or quality concerns before and during assembly.
  • Perform quality checks to verify dimensions, fit, finish, and overall product quality.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
  • Package finished components according to customer and company specifications to prevent damage during transport.
  • Ensure proper labeling, identification, and organization of parts and finished products.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Report material shortages, equipment issues, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.

Qualifications


  • Previous manufacturing experience in furniture and construction strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong commitment to quality and workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms.
