AmeriStaff is seeking a dynamic individual looking to make a difference in the production of products to benefit those in need. We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor 3-axis CNC machining equipment used in the production of precision components for beds and safety beds. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, performing quality inspections, and maintaining production standards in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and safely while meeting quality and production goals.

Pay: $41,600 - $47,840 annually, depending on experience

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis CNC machines to manufacture metal, wood, or composite components for beds and safety beds.
• Load raw materials and verify machine programs prior to production runs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and make basic machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Measure completed parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Conduct in-process and final quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material defects, or quality concerns.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and quality team members to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machine operating experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with 3-axis CNC machining equipment strongly preferred.
• Eperience with 5-axis and ALPHACAM a definite plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
• Basic computer skills and ability to enter production data.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
• Frequently lift up to 50-60 pounds.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise and moving equipment.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required.

Preferred Skills

• CNC setup experience.
• Knowledge of machining concepts, tooling, and feeds/speeds.
• Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
