AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions is currently seeking an Extruder Operator for a leading manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to thrive in a fast-paced production environment while ensuring quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.

Benefits & Schedule for the Extruder Operator:

• Full-time, 2nd Shift position (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
• Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Responsibilities of the Extruder Operator:

Extrusion Equipment Operation

• Safely operate heavy industrial extrusion equipment used to cook and shape raw ingredients into dry pet food.
• Set up extrusion dies and adjust machine settings, including barrel temperatures, screw speed, and pressure, according to product specifications.
• Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and performance.
• Make equipment adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards and production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment jams and operational issues while minimizing downtime.

Production & Quality Control

• Monitor the consistency and appearance of extruded products throughout the manufacturing process.
• Ensure products meet established quality and production specifications.
• Communicate equipment or product concerns to supervisors or maintenance personnel when necessary.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Safely lift materials weighing 50 pounds or more as required.
• Stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements for the Extruder Operator:

• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Dependable work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
