AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Ropak Machine Operator in the Rocky Mount, VA area. The Ropak Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Ropak packaging equipment used for filling and sealing products. This role ensures efficient production while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance with company standards.

Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Ropak packaging machines according to production specifications
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure optimal output and minimal downtime
• Load materials (e.g., product, packaging components) into the machine as required
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals

Qualifications:

• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing setting 
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production schedules
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality control

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift, move, and load materials 
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing or warehouse setting
• Exposure to moving machinery and production noise
• May require overtime as needed
