AmeriStaff is currently seeking a Quality Coordinator in the Danville, VA area. The Quality Coordinator will coordinate and/or lead the Quality functions with the Closures Department, and act as a liaison for the Quality Department in relation to Closures personnel and management.

Responsibilities of the Quality Coordinator: - Coordinate and complete timely resolution of in-process quality hold and reject material, including directing closures rework team, rework order management and scrap if necessary for closures holds.
- Work with applicable team members to make corrections to labels, SAP corrections, etc.
- Perform pass to run checks and approvals when color-changes or cap changes occur and/or as needed.
- Perform quality inspections to closures product as required
- Coordinate and communicate any specific quality needs or concerns with Quality Techs and Closures personnel.
- Create COAs and send to customers as required and on-time and accurate
- Work with applicable personnel (Quality Systems Specialist, Quality Manager, and Closures Management team) to make sure that Closures testing equipment is in working order and calibrated.
- Lead and/or assist investigations and responses for customer quality complaints and issues with applicable team members.
- Ability to perform statistical analyses such as pareto charts and calculating process capability.
- Perform Process Audits
- Assist/lead any revisions to Closures procedures related to Quality functions along with applicable team members.
- Provide clerical support to Quality Department in organization of files, standards, etc. as related to Closures department.
- Assist in any needs as required for Printing, particularly in assisting with Quality Manager and Finishing Manager software.
- Perform all tasks in a manner compliant with Safety and GMP standards and other customer requirements as necessary.
- Perform other duties as required and requested by management and ability to work in cooperation with other team members.

Requirements: 
|
|
Requirements of the Quality Coordinator: - 1-3 years of related Quality experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers through a variety of methods including email, telephone, memorandum, and letter correspondence.
- A thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Access, and ability to learn SAP, Minitab, and other software as needed.
- Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate effectively with line operators as well as management.
- Willing to work any shift and overtime as required and follow required schedule as prescribed by reporting supervisor.
- Must be highly safety conscious and adhere to Safety and GMP standards.
